I just got some 350 grain .458 Hi-Tek coated boolits from Acme Bullets. Would these shoot OK in .45-70 over holy black or Pyrodex Cartridge Grade if I pan lube them in Lyman black Powder Gold? GF

Only one way to find out
Long range rules, the rest drool.
You’ve lost lube grooves to the powder coating. As such, you may want to add a lube cookie to make up the difference
This one still has two lube grooves and a crimp groove, so I guess I'll get out my pan lube kit and give it a try. I've got a Browning 1885 and an Italian Sharps '74 repro to try it in. If all else fails, I could add a card wad and grease cookie. GF
The powder has not taken up enough space in the lube grove to make a difference.
