    I lost a friend today

Yes, this little semi rare .410 AA hull was used when I got it - so no telling how many times it’s been loaded. I’ve gotten six from it; seven will not happen.
I just thought that I’d share

I feel your pain. Ruined a 28-30 case to fast reloading it the other day. I failed in my obligation to take care of it.

Couple of stitches and some super glue and good to go. I feel the same way which is kinda weird in that we would casually drop some money on something else and not think twice about it.

My six 410 firearms are weeping with you my friend......He lived a full life.....6 trips through the reloader proved his worth...RIP

I can get 4-6 out of them when reloaded on my DL366 until the crimp starts to have problems closing right after that I can get 2 or 3 more on the DL 266 single stage that isn't as hard on the hulls as the progressive.

If the hull isn't perfectly aligned with the dies it will Smash them anyway,,, hence the losses. If the crimp is split you get one more load out of it.

Part of the deal with the single stage is that you cna time the Pre-crimper to the folds on the crimp itself, and the results are a perfect crimp every time. Do note that the ridges on the outside of the Pre-crimp tool coincide with the ridges on the inside, and if you are close they will self align a little. All the DL266's will do the same thing, but there is more leverage with the 12 ga. Pre-crimp to align itself than the .410 one so you have to help it out.
