    Lead

    WTS: I have 8 boxes, 50 lb each of lead ingots. Ingots are lead muffins, approx 1.3 lb each. The lead has been analyzed and buyer will be informed of analysis of the lead his box contains when informed of shipment(also on outside of box). Lead is from my excess supply and consists of mostly COWW and Range Scrap. I combine and melt, flux and cast in iron muffin molds.

    Price is $1.40/lb. Plus shipping in Medium Flat Rate box.

    Total per box is $1.40 X 50lb=$70 + $17 Flat Rate = $87
    Flat Rate recently increased.

    I accept Paypal, USPS Money Order, Personal Checks(may hold until clears)

    Things seem to have hit a headwind. It has been suggested it might help to explain what I have on hand and my procedure for producing a batch.

    I have one (1) box of the following:
    Batch D1
    Pb = 98.4%
    Sb = 1.2%
    Sn = 0.4%

    I have four(4) boxes of:
    Batch D2
    Pb = 98.7%
    Sb = 1.2%
    Sn = 0.1%

    This represents, essentially, what I have been casting my handgun boolits from. If I'm not getting good casts, I add a little tin/lead solder.

    All batches are prepared in quantities of approx. 200 lbs. Made up of a combination of range scrap, COWW. Each batch is completely melted and fluxed with sawdust(produced on my table saw from scrap 2X4's. No plywood. Ingots are cast in cast iron muffin pans and weigh approx 1.25-1.33 lbs each. I weigh out 50 lbs plus approx. 2 additional pounds to pack each USPS Medium Flat Rate Box.

    No more will be produced until these are gone. At my age, it's no fun to horse around 50 lb boxes. Too bad those FRB don't come with handles.
