I recently turned up a Lyman 457193 mold. It pours .458 and weighs 415 grs. If I use it in my Marlin 1895 it will have to be powder coated. That will make it around .460, that is what my rifle needs. There is no crimp groove and it looks like the bullet will need to be seated just over the front driving band. I usually use Unique and 2400 at Trapdoor level.
Has anyone had any experience with this bullet in a Marlin 1895 45-70, good or bad?
Thanks
Dave
