    .50 Sharps percussion bullets

I recently acquired an early Shiloh Sharps (Farmingdale, NY) percussion carbine in .50 Sharps for paper cartridges. Looking for info on a proper bullet for the rifle.

If you can wait a couple of weeks, I'll send you the correct bullet. Have a can of them cast up. They have a small rebate on the base for tying the paper cartridge on. I use fine dental floss. You can make up a wooden dowel rod the correct diameter and roll up some paper cartridges that will slide into the chamber. I hot hand dip the bullets into melted lube in a sardine can. Bees wax and automotive Molly grease works good and does not lead or foul. Send a personal message with your address.
