    i found the same. you couldnt put to much in an 06 case to get pressure signs and heck i even used 4831 in it sometimes before i found out. i agree. if i was to start all over today with an 06 id be using powders in the 4064 range. i think all the 4831 data came from back when surplus was about free so guys used it in everything

    Its like vanilla ice cream or bacon, it goes well with almost everything.
    For most cartridges with normal-ish length barrels, you can't pack enough of it into a case to get into much trouble.

    I shot the 30-06 early on in a Winchester Post 64 rifle. I used the 150 grain Speer Hot-Cor bullet. The Lyman charge from their #44 Handbook calls 61 grains max for IMR4350. My rifle loved 60 grains & it was compressed. Using a K4 Weaver the Winchester would put 3 of these into an inch at 200 yards. I've never had a problem with compressed loads.
