Low Lot Number With Dpont 4350 Can

In an auction won a little powder. The can of Dupont 4350 stated lot #77.

My knowledge of powders in leading me to conclude this is 1940's production and the can is nearly full and plan on using it.

    Does this sound correct?

A photo of the can would help date it. If it looks and smells good it should be fine.

You DO need to assure yourself that it actually IS 4350 in the can, if you know what I mean.................! 'Lotta things can be put into a can in 50-60-70 years, and some of them can look just like 4350.
