    350 Legend reloading-Okay to use 147 gr 9mm boolits?

An oldtimer (reloading since 1970) at Cabela's tells me he's reloaded 350 legend with 147 gr RN boolits with success.
I'm planning on reloading some plinkin' rounds.
    Whats your feeling about this?
    350 Legend 165, 175, 185 projectiles are going for nearly .40cents a round....

On that note, anyone know who is selling Speer Bullets 9mm (355 Diameter) 147 Grain Total Metal Jacket bullets?

    Why not?

The factory pratice ammo is 145g FMJ.

I have shot hundreds of cast 356637 bullets in 350 Legend.

I did it. Bought 100 powder coated just to try them out. My 350 is an AR and seems to prefer the pointy boolits. Once chambered they shot just fine but complete refusal to feed, so I gave up. The data is out there and .357 is ok to run in the 350 per SAMMI specs. Good luck and tell how you do.

I might add, 9mm bullets. Flat nose. .355 diameter . Still good with 350 Legend?

Likely to be a problem for most AR's. But anything else should be fine. With the right alloy hardness should be a dandy hunting load. What are you loading for? My son and I have dropped six deer so far with our 350s. All pass throughs and all were were commercial jacked bullets. 350 does the number on them.

I just got a new Lee 356-147tc mold. I powder coat them and size to .357" Might work good for your legend.

Hodgdon's website has a bunch of data for 147gr XTP bullets.

Is the rifle a bolt gun or auto? If the former, I would seriously look at gas checked .358 slugs. All my 9mm pistols eat .358 no problemo and I can't imagine why the .350 would be any different. Should be no special trick to at least get stout .357 carbine power level.
    Currently casting and loading: .32 Auto, .380 Auto, .38 Special, 9X19, .357 Magnum, .257 Roberts, 6.5 Creedmoor, .30 WCF, .308 WCF, .45-70.
