Paper targets aren't your friends. They won't lie for you and they don't care if your feelings get hurt.
Thought I could control it, but I gotta wash my shirt.
I took your warning to heart and put a towel on my chest. Didn't work though. The drool soaked through and got my shirt wet.
Lots of memories there, when guns were made incredibly well. Thanks for posting this.
That is for sure a drooler. Who among us ummm "seasoned" citizens, doesn't wish we'd have acquired one of those when they were original, affordable and available.
This one was mine, at the age of 16, and cost of $65 US Dollars. I've still got the original grip scales, and both cylinders. jd

It seems that people who do almost nothing, often complain loudly when it's time to do it.
Oh my, oh my hoodat, that must have been a divinely inspired purchase, truly to be envied. It is a .45 LC I assume? Well, I just bought a drooler, a S&W M&P .38 about 1948 vintage. It won't be here until next Monday, but I'll come back here and post a photo if I can make the remembering machine work.

Dang it! Just what I don't need...Another enabler!
Old enough to know better, young enough to do it anyway!
Men who don't understand women fall into two categories: bachelors and husbands!
hoodat, I had one of those single six's that I bought in I believe 1963 or 64. It had the 6 1/2"(maybe 6") barrel and rear sight adjusted for windage only. I think I paid either $47.00 or $49.00 for it, which was retail at the time. I learned how to shoot a revolver with it. There was an old dump on my way to work and everytime I was on 3-11 shift in the summer, I would put the little six under my car seat and stop at the dump for a little western style practice. I had an old hunter holster and belt that I used and the dirty bank robbers were empty cans that were available. I got to where I was able to actually hit some right out of the holster. But like the dummy I have always been I sold it several years later for a lot more than I paid for it. Regretted it almost immediately. my experience anyway, james
Like Ken H, I’ve always liked 5”-6” barrels. They seem to be the best for general work and still afford some measure of concealment.
That 5 inch 629 had me bound up in a bad case of "wants."

Did someone mention a S&W Model 1950 Target Revolver?
Mine is in 45 ACP.
Easily one of my favorite Target revolvers and not a common one to find.

Knowledge I take to my grave is wasted.
I prefer to use cartridges born before I was.
Success doesn't make me happy, being happy is what allows me to be successful.
Only got to 1:41 seconds had to leave!
I hate watered down coffee!!!
Have two one is in .22 LR the other is a .45 colt great shooters when I can get them out. If I remember right, I paid $27.00 dollars new in box for the .22 didn't pay much more than that for the .45, new in box.
Attachment 312202Attachment 312203 I couldn't find a 1950 that I could pay the price for so I had to SETTLE for a 625-3 with a 5" barrel. It has a ball detent that keeps everything tight in the front and it is a super shooter. Love me some 45 auto rims with this boolitAttachment 312205 Strawhat, that one of yours is a heart breaker for sure.Attachment 312206

That 1950 is very drool worthy. In the world of bazooka guns, it is good to see 45 acp's, .455's and 44 Russians gain so much respect. I suspect it's because of the fact that they shoot where you point them without registering on a Richter Scale.
After a few questions and answers, Tom came up with this boolit mold and it is a great one for auto rim, full length Colt and 454's. I am a self confessed homer for Accurate molds. When it hits the 50 yd cardboard backer it makes a resound "whop". Sure would hate to catch one of these!Attachment 312242 My gun like this boolit with AA #5
