Zink Shot ?

OK I make some of my own shot
Drip and roll into a cooling tank method

But I got to thinking last night
We do a lot of Morning Dove hunting as we wait for the Canada geese to decide to fly
As we are going to be also hunting geese , we have to use steel shot or one of the other Non Lead shots to harvest the doves
BTW Full Body Goose decoys are a Great Morning Dove decoy

I was wondering if Zink could be used instead of a lead alloy with the drip and roll down the ramp into a cooling tank ?
As I have collected a fair amount of Zink WW's and a number of Zink anodes form junk boats
I know Zink needs a higher temp to melt , as I cast Zink decoy weights instead of using lead

Zinc is not an approved non toxic shot. It's also less dense than iron.
