    Gunshow this past weekend

We had our Gunshow this past weekend.
Had a good time. Maybe the most fun at the show for a long time.
Just about 3000 through the gate, so probably around 3250 with vendors.
    Made some money.
    Talked to many old faces.
    Met many new faces.
Didn't find anything that I had to have, so didn't spend much.
    Some drama...........
On Sat, before the start, a vendor fell down at the check in table.
    Many went to help.
He got up and stayed at the show almost to the end.
Son took him to the doctor and found out he had the wuflu.
Not sure what the fall out from that is going to be.
On Sun, Guy I know was being helped in by two people.
    Didn't look good.
The sat him down at his table, and he rested there.
Walking around, I stopped by to see how he was.
Seems a few weeks earlier he had a vertigo attack.
Went to the doctor and got some pills.
On Friday he finished the pills, and felt so good, he didn't get the refill.
    Stupid.
So Sunday it hit him again.
Talked to him from time to time through the show.
He was starting to feel better, and even started to walk around.
Told him to wait until I finished packing my junk and I'd load his stuff for him.
Friend Son always helps me pack up and load.
As we finished loading, I see the vertigo guy, standing on a stool, loading into a roof cargo carrier.
We rush over and help him.
We then go back inside to get the rest of his stuff.
Didn't think everything would fit in to his "Mini Cooper"
Buy we got it all in.
Asked if he was good to drive, and if he wanted he to fallow him home.
    He said he was fine.
When I came back out, he was gone.
Nothing else, that I know of, happened during the show.
    Next show in April.

Our show happens next month. I'm thinking about dropping some REAL money on primers. I'm beyond the point of ******** about how expensive they are, I'm thinking I'd better just get some, no matter how spendy they are. jd
It seems that people who do almost nothing, often complain loudly when it's time to do it.

I bit the bullet and picked up 4500 SPP online, that should last for a while at the current rate of my consumption!

I just spent $276 shipped for 3000 small pistol primers.
I just loaded 2000 H&G51's in 38's and it ate into my stash big time.
It hurt, to say the least, but they look so pretty in their cartons on the shelf....and I can touch them and use them if needed.
    Worth the money?
I guess it was to me for the comfort of knowing they are there.

The local show here usually has prices above retail. I think the price we see for primers will be the price we have to pay for a long time. If they ever get to the point of having overstock we might see the price drop a little. I don't think we will see the pre-covid prices again.

The Great (or Greater) Depression we are going to see will drop the prices of everything. It's just a matter of time.

I been stretching out components for 3.5 years. A little trading has helped during this shortage. Yes a little help from my friends.
But where has it all gone. What are the manufacturers doing. Did the make deal with the gov? No story they have told has stood the test of time. None of them have panned out. If they have no output then no income. Who’s getting the goods?

I probably haven't loaded 500 spp in the past 3 years, , and still have well over 7000 primers. Had lots of rounds loaded, but really didn't shoot much last 2 years. Seemed like every time I was headed to my range, I'd get interrupted by something. Plan is to try and start using up some of the hoard and load more this fall and winter. Don't have but one rifle that uses Lrp and I have a few hundred primers, would probably be good to pick up a box or two.
