    Thanks guys.

    I held the soldering gun to each bolt for a counted out minute, then removed the bolts, they came out when turned with a heavy torque, no hammer was required.

    I used a T10 bit to engage the corners tightly of the hex fasteners.

    The larger handle of the tool helped too.

    I used a cut off wheel to modify the aluminum rail in the bench vice then dressed it in the the wire wheel and black sharpie to finish it off.

    Some serious clean up was required. The scope base was bedded to the reciever with lock-tite.

    Then I Re mounted it and set it with the small electronic sight.

    Later I'll test out some small aluminum bases I got last week, see if they fit lower.

    Now I can load the internal magazine without scraping up and catching my thumb nail on the scope base sharp edges.

    Gotta make more three oh eight with cast bullets an go test it out
