WTS: Hoch mold and handles and two weird Lyman molds (weird to me anyway)

Let's make a deal! Saturday style.

    First up Hoch mold: SPF

Came with dead guy stuff, Part number is 411 ADJ. Made apparently on 4-27-97, to my eye, looks unused, despite the photo.
I am guessing this is for a paper patched black powder silhouette boomer.

Crappy photo, I can't seem to get a good photo. It is in MUCH better shape than the photo shows. Just a guess on where to start this pricewise: $150, shipped. Now $130.

Second: Hoch mold handles for above mold, $50, shipped. Now $45. Purchased together, knock $15 off for combined shipping and reduced work.

Third: Boomer Lyman mold, no part #, just a 3 digit number on the mold halves to keep them together. A hollow base something boolit. .533 diameter just above the groove is me and my Mitutoyo digital caliper's best guess. Again in much better shape than photo shows. Almost new.

And before the questions start, I don't have the plug that I am assuming is captured in the groove to make a hollow base. $100, shipped. Now $40. This is NOT your run of the mill mold. May be the only one in the world. You know you need this.

    And finally #4:

Another un-numbered Lyman mold. Weird. Adjustable? Not a clue. I'll post the diameter the best I can measure later. Completely flat base/nose? With a massive hollow point/hollow base?
Your guess is probably way better than mine.

.548 diameter on the pour end.

Again, $100, shipped to start, simply because I have no clue where to price this. If it goes in 27 minutes, at asking price, I'll have priced it too low and the lucky buyer will have gotten a great deal. Now $40.

Or it may still be here 30 days from now after repeated desperate pleas from me to make an offer so I can get it off my bench. Most likely scenario.

I normally ship flat rate box.

Prefer personal checks from long time members with an attaboy or two. Can do the Paypal/Venmo, but then my daughter who handles such hi-tech details, would know how much is in the double secret gun fund. And tell mom. Apparently I did something wrong in her upbringing.

Don't need much in the way of trading stuff, already have too much.

Only thing would be a 500 S&W die set and some brass.

Is the diameter of the hoch paper patch .411?

As far as I know yes. I don't have a good way to measure it accurately and I have never cast with it. It looks .411 and the few Hoch molds that I have looked at online, the number appears to be the diameter.

    Thanks for asking.

    Thanks for the details.
Would be a good diameter if I had a .416 rigby!

Too small for the .416 Rigby, I size .417 for the Rigby. It would work for a 450/400.

And this is a great excuse for the Saturday morning ride to the top.

    I'm open to offers.

Need gun fund recharging, bought a 1935 Winchester Model 12 in 16 gauge that needs retiming and reblueing.

    TTT.

Sounds like the Hoch mold and handles are SPF.

I've still got two more that need good homes.

#4 still has me baffled. 28 gauge hollow base and or hollow point slug?

Somebody has to have a guess.

And money to make it theirs.

When I first posed the question when I started on the forum five years ago, I got some weird answers.

It'd be interesting if the guesses are any better.

    Somebody needs two cool/weird molds.

    Please.

And let's make them a little more enticing.

Somebody needs not one, but two Lyman unicorns.

I can even combine shipping if you want the sorta matched set.

    Matched set???

Yeah, both from the same manufacturer, that makes them a matched set.

The adjustable mold is a core mold. Too large of a diameter for my projects.

The hoch .411 is a paper patch mold for .416 caliber rifles.
