are empty 6 point star / fold crimp 12 GA. hulls still sold / made? I have a hand loader that will only function with them, and not 8 star / fold crimped hulls.

use a hair curler to straighten the folds, a co2 cartrage to condition the hull and then use the 8 point

you can also trim the hull and rollcrimp, it will have less ummph with a roll crimp so shot wont go quite as far but it works great for slugs. cut plastic milk jug to same size as inside the hull and put it over the shot when you roll crimp.

A lot of the euro produced hulls are still 6 point crimps - Fiocchi, Rio, Clever, Nobel Sport, etc. I reload a ton of Rio's to support my skeet/trap habit.
