I have no idea what ramps are, but I do know about stinging nettles. Just wear gloves when you pick them. And don't eat them raw.

there used to be a ramp festival not far from me but the last one was a few years ago and it hasn't come back since the world went crazy. they grow wild all over the place around here as do wild onions and ive even got wild garlic that grows here. the ramps are more mild than the garlic. they are all small bulbs none ever found over 1/2" diameter. the onions leaves shoot straight up in bunches about 2 times the height of grass or weeds this time of years and they look like regular green onion leaves only straight and a dark green. the ramps have flat waxy looking bright green leaves about 1 inch wide and 6-10" tall that bend over and the garlic has round stem with onion like layers coming out of the ground some 2'+ tall and bend over and curl around at the top and there is like a pod near the top
a few years ago we shot a woodchuck and cooked it in a pot on top of the stove with a bunch of these wild herbs and it was a bit tough but tasted just like roasted beef they slice for sandwiches sell in the big display cases in grocery stores.
