You can download the 3rd ed Lyman cast Bullet handbook for free.
    Just Google it.
You can keep it in your memory, or delete it and download it again when you need it
You can also buy the thing from CORNELL BOOKS
These are high quality reprints for low prices many other load manuals available there as well.
    GOOGLE THEM.

    Tried loads again today.
    No consistency in grouping
    Failure is not an Option

Try a magnum primer once the load density is low you may need a little more ignition?

Don’t take offense, but grouping on a two piece stock can be problematic. It takes an understanding of what forces are being applied to the forend, stock, and rest shooing a two piece stock to get the best groups. I can shift POI on any of my two piece stocked guns simply by allowing my cheek to sit “heavier” on the stock, or “lighter”. Moving the point of rest can also shift it quite a bit. The best load in the world won’t shoot good if there’s any inconsistency in the shooting process.

I've found resting the front of the receiver on the bags to give me better results with the lever gun..

I do better with 13 gr of unique and a 405 gr bullet in my trapdoor reproduction. Steel plates dont stand stand a chance at 300 yds.

    Hello
Lymans Cast Bullet Handbook dated 1973 has loads listed.

    292gr cast slug mold #457191
Unique start gr load is 14.5 grains at 1285fps but goes up to max load of 18.0 grains of unique at 1460fps.
2400 start gr load is 24.0 grains at 1350 fps but goes to max load of 30.0 grains of 2400 at 1680fps.

    405gr cast slug mold #457193
Unique start load is 13.0 gr at 1110fps but goes to max load of 16.5 grains of unique at 1260fps
2400 start load is 22.5gr at 1240fps but goes to max load of 2400 at 28.5 grains of 2400 at 1510 fps

As another already mentioned if your looking for speed then best look at IMR3031 because a 292gr cast slug can be pushed to 1720fps and the 405 gr cast slug can be pushed to 1640 fps as max loadings.

Of note the Uniqe data mentioned slides down too 12.5-17gr in later lyman books and disappears in the 4th cast bullet book altogether. 2400 isn't listed either I found an old Alliant book that had both listed in Cowboy data.
