    Cast bullets in Bergara barrel.

Just got a CVA scout pistol. they use Bergara barrels on these guns. Just would like to know if anyone has tried cast bullets in aBergara barrel and how did they shoot.

Would work as well as any other barrel. You might check out similar postings on cast in Contender/Encore pistols as shorter barrels can prefer different bullets than rifles in the same cartridge.

I picked up a CVA pistol in .300 Blackout a while back. I bought it to mainly shoot cast bullets out of it. I knew that they had Bergara barrels on them and when I got it the barrel it sure looked like a quality made barrel. I shot a bunch of junk 150 gr. FMJ reloads in it first and was encouraged by the results because it shot so good.

I then started with some load development with cast and was pleasantly surprised at how good it shot. My main two loads in .300 BO are with a NOE 150 and a NOE 200 gr bullet and they both shoot excellent out of the barrel. The barrel has been great with no issues with fouling etc. I typically use a pull through with my cast bullet guns just to take out the carbon and anything else and the barrel has been immaculate, and I couldn't be happier.

Depending on the caliber of your Scout, I think you will be pleased with the barrel.

In this pic you can see the two NOE bullets I use, these are coated with HiTek. The NOE 311-199-SP-K5 on the left and the NOE 311-152-SP-L1 is on the right. They both shoot great in the CVA.
