here in the smokies we have red wasps with black wings and they are extremely thick this year. the queens are looking for nest spots and they are very territorial I'm ready to call the Orkin man. regular wasp spray doesn't work on these things they just shake it off and then attack you. I once had a few attack at the same time and left me with a golf ball size welt on my neck.
Isn't that the state bird of Florida?
