So, I got this .22LR handgun made in 1962 by High Standard and it looks almost new in the (included) box. Think I'll make some Black Walnut grips for her when it warms up a bit in the shop.
It's a Model D-100 Derringer.

got one exactly like it, around the same year of manufacture as well. growing up we would play "pig" or sometimes "horse" with it because you could not hit the broadside of a barn door with it. we used those 4 inch square tiles and stood about 10 foot away, took a long time to spell horse.
if you are ever being chased by a taxidermist, don't play dead
My great aunt had one. I remember having to use my middle finger to be able to pull the heavy trigger. And not hitting anything.
But it sure was neat!

Belly gun! To be sure of a hit, place muzzle in contact with opponent's belly.
Cognitive Dissident
After shooting a few rounds through her, I'm getting pretty good at a 6" plate set at 7yds. Trigger pull is a bit "hefty" on the first shot, the second shot considerably easier.
have one in 22mag.
