Need a Lyman sprue plate screw

I just picked up a nice single cavity Lyman 358242 mold. Problem is that the sprue plate screw was broken. I managed to get the old one out, but now need a replacement.

Any ideas on where to find one? Or maybe someone has one stashed away?

    Thanks,
    Sam Sackett

I'd try Lyman. They used to sell parts kits.

You should call directly to Lyman to learn what they have available to sell you. Before that call, you would be wise to examine all of the smaller parts and pieces you may need in the future and order a few of those while they are still available, such as sprue plate screws and lock washers, screws to hold the mold halves onto the handles, etc. Then again if you have their powder measure they can provide many parts for those as well. These purchases can save you when you misplace these parts or buy molds or measures that already need the parts.

Midway has replacement parts in stock. Not unusual to break a screw while beating on the sprue cutter on alloy boolit casting alloy. I know cause I have broken several screws. Years ago, I got mould parts from the Lyman factory. Just have to call Customer Service.

Thanks to all. I found them. Both Lyman and Midway have them now.

IIRC, Ideal sc molds have a proprietary thread and need to be made with a lathe now. Glad you found one for the Lyman.
