    PC smash test??

After having some flaking problems with some others I baked, I decided to smash some of the ones I’d baked a few months back.

Do they look like they are cured well enough?

The pink didn’t cover as well as the others, I think there was some type of contaminate on the boolits. Probably lube, those and the same style clearcoat ones are Speer swaged and lubed. I boiled them, then let sit in acetone to get the lube off.

These are all Shake & Bake with airsoft bbs.

They look good to me . For what it’s worth I’ve had better luck with gasoline versus acetone. I have to say I never seen a smash test done that way, but I guess it worked.

It's looking good enough to shoot accurately without leading if pushed at reasonable speeds.

I circled in white where I look with particular attention when I smash my bullets, to see if there is any failure of the coating under the highest stress.

    It's looking good.

They are cured but the pink looks like either isn't as thick or is kinda crumbly. There are several types of PC, some is for decorative purposes and isn't as tough.
    Whatever!

They look like the flintstone vitamins I had to take as a kid.

    Thanks everyone.

Haha yeah they do look like flintstones vitamins.

The pink didn’t cover very well, I think there was still some old lube or something on those.
Those are Speer swaged that had lube that I boiled off then rinsed in acetone.

I’m going to smash a few more tomorrow, nose up.
    See if that changes anything.

I smash tested when I first started PCing. It’s been a few years now. Maybe I should test a few just to be sure nothing changed.
