    Perfecta brass cases

Wasn't sure where to put this. I've got some 308 Win cases with the "Perfecta" headstamp. Can someone enlighten me on this brand?

I seem to recall coming across some 9mm brass with that headstamp. Again, as I recall, it has a step on the inside of the casing, presumably to prevent bullet setback on recoil. Nothin' on 308 though, don't come across much of that at the range.

308 perfecta brass is really soft. All or most of mine have crimped primer pockets. I heard somewhere it is an off brand or rebrand from fiochi. You likely will need to trim it every load cycle if you expect consistent belling and crimping. I find excess case growth, enough to annoy me. I set it aside for a rainy day.

Keep an eye out for off center flash holes.....I broke 1 or 2 depriming pins on them!

Awhile back I bough a box of 1,000 mixed .45 ACP brass, and Perfecta was one of the brands mixed in with the rest. They reloaded fine--no problem. I know nothing of their origin.

In our area they were sold as the cheap brand at Wal-Mart. The primer holes were off center. They did have a step inside the 223 cases and kicked the alarm on the loader every time. As stated, very soft. I threw all mine in the scrap brass can at the club.

I got a couple of hundred Perfecta 308 range pick up's a few years ago. Only use it for cast loads. After removing the primer crimp I've reloaded it at least three times without any issue. After reading these posts I'll run them through a case trimmer after the next time their fired.

Have never tried reloading Perfecta rifle brass, have not seen much of it and only in 223. Have reloaded a good deal of 45 ACP and have had no issues nor noticed any with flash holes way off center. FWIW have seen off center flash holes in random cases from US makers, but not very often. Worst was a Win 9mm that filed to fire and when pulled down did not have a flash hole!!

Google says that Perfecta is a Fiocchi product.

I have reloaded 243 & 30-06 Perfecta cases with normal loads and good results.
