The shank size should be roughly .250-.252 on the 7 mm, a few of the designs are up to 258. So I ordered some gator checks seeing if they were different than my Hornady and they are still not even close to fitting. On some of his 7 mm designs I notice he has a correct shank diameter. Do you think I should contact him or maybe he knows?
It almost looks like some of the designs have a tapered shank set up for the old non crimping type and some That will work with Hornady?

I would contact him. Nothing worse than fighting gas checks.
I have the same problem on my NOE 311041 clone. I bought the gas check expander, but it’s a pita. I put this mold to the side for future workings. If I have to use the gc expander I will get rid of this mold.
My other gas checks molds don’t have this problem, so why should this one?
