Redfield model 70-WT Peep Sight Value

Howdy. We have recently moved and I am still unpacking. I’m finding stuff that I had forgotten about, some from years ago. I came across this real nice Redfield peep sight that I have no use for. I have no idea of the value, so am reaching out for help from the forum. Please post your thoughts as to the value of this sight. I will probably post it for sale on this forum.

    Thanks,
    Sam Sackett

    Redfield model 70-WT in excellent condition. Fits Win 54 & 70, REM 721 & 722

    .

It's worth what someone's willing to pay for it, today (not whenever).

I suggest surfing the web for the used sight for sale somewhere, and see if it has actually sold (an unsold asking price is not a value)

It appears to be for a Remington 722.

That is a small market so that will affect price.

OK. Finally got pictures to load. Spec sheet shows this to fit Winchester 54 & 70 and Remington 721 & 722.

Yes and that sight is in very nice condition. I can easily see over $100. Make sure to say what guns it is for and take some clear close up pictures that show how nice it is.

I just bid on a Lyman 66LA for my Marlins. The pics showed a bunch of white specs all over it but everybody knew it was just Dust. It was essentially NIB with no box. I quit at $150, it went for $185!

Redfield always had the Cool Radius'd Knobs. I have several like that. People don't realize how hard it is to do that kind of Knurling.

    Don't give it away!!!

Thanks for the responses. I really wish I could use this sight. It’s in great condition. I swapped off my REM 721 in 30-06 many years ago. Didn’t like the enclosed magazine. If it had a drop magazine I’d still have it. That’s one swap I wish I had back. Dummy me!

Nice sight and I too like it! I have a pretty good collection of old sights, mostly for model 70 Winchesters and the like, they are so very well made too, Lyman and Redfield both. Why I keep them is the question but they look nice in my large display case of small objects.
