I guess that you will have to be the pioneer and let us know how it goes. That’s a very interesting seldom seen cartridge.
I remember reading an article by Phil Shoemaker about how the .223/69 gr and the .50 Beo AR15s were the modern equivalent of the .22 Savage Hi Power and the 50-70 rifles of yesteryear.

I'll post my results, I'm trying to shoot a bullet under 400 grains to keep the bruising to a minimum...
I am hoping this works out for you as i am searching for a different option. Please let us know.

On a reloading discord a guy was using the a MP mold that's really similar to that one and showed pics of some decent groups. I could reach out to him if you wanted more info.
He quit casting so its mine now after I bought a bunch of molds of him.
I am using the LEE 501 - 440 gr. Lubed and checked they are around 473gr. Recoil is similar to the old Duck & Pheasant) 1-1/4 oz 3-3/4 Dram field load. In an 870.
Thanks guys. Now that the weather is getting better I am going to cast up some of the lee 440s and give them a go. I did buy two of the same molds hoping to hollow point one to lighten it up a bit. I will share my results.

Your mold should work well sized to .502.
