Redux: WTB .338 cases, Large Rifle Magnum primers

Well, just got OOS notice from Scheel's after all, so the order was cancelled and I'm back to square one on getting ahold of some .338 WM brass and a couple hundred magnum primers, just to get started. Looking for 20-50 cases, 100 primers (prefer Winchester LRM or CCI LRM). Will also take more, but these would get me going and I figure no one has many, if any, to spare. Thanks.

    Paul

ps: wondering if just keeping my eye out for any factory ammo - to get fired cases, for one - is the better call for now. Anyone knowing of any place currently having ammo in stock, much appreciated.

I have 20 pieces of once fired Remington brass. If you want to pay the flat rate shipping I'll help you out here. PM your address.

Have what you need but too far away.

You figure a shipping of them and you can have the 100 primers. Brass lets see if they come through.

Guys, I've looked into it a bit more and won't be asking anyone to ship primers. Sorry for not knowing carrier policies better. Like all of us I'll wait it out.

LAH, I really appreciate your offer. I think at this point I'd like to just slowly build up a modest inventory on new brass. But thanks very much.

But still looking for new brass so Rockrat or others, if you do have some you'd part with, thanks. If so, feel free to PM.

FYI/IRRC: You can't ship primers, but you can ship primed brass.
Just because change doesn't make a difference doesn't mean that change is bad.

Yes, but it has to go either UPS or FedEx, no explosives in the US mail!

Thanks John, I really appreciate it. I should have said I'll be sticking with brass but again, kind of you to offer.

Just to clarify, looking for another 50 or so unfired cases, ideally WW or Hornady preferably, guys. I'm in this for the long haul as are we all, so good luck to all of us.

Thought I had an unopened bag, but turned out it had been opened. There are only 30 pieces left. Thought I might have another bag, but no luck, so only 30 new pieces.

Let me dig to confirm, but I'm sure I have some large rifle magnum primers I could part with if you have any reason to be going to the other corner of the state, Hayward area. Shoot me a PM if that would work.

Well that's extremely kind of you, thanks Seabee. My son and I hunt north of you, in the Marengo area.

Wanted to let everyone know I got a flag last night that Natchez has Rem LRM primers, and I nabbed 1000. Just checked and they still do. $109. Prefer CCI or WW but definitely not too particular!

So I'm good for now on primers and I wanted to thank everyone for your generosity.

Just got word from Scheel's they got a shipment of Hornady .338 WM in. Just bought some. FYI for anyone themselves looking.

One member kindly sold a bag of new WW and with this Hornady 50, 100 seems a good start. Mods, I'll close the thread.

Thanks again all and good hunting and shooting to you.
