Help with Stevens - Savage SxS .410 Shotgun

My neighbor brought me a Stevens SxS shotgun that had been soaked in the last Houston flood. A bit of oil & working it back & forth I managed to get it opened, but the firing-group is froze-up pretty good. The barrels interior are actually in pretty good condition after I ran a cleaning rod down them. It looks like an old gun but it has plastic forend & butt stocks(?) Not sure of the model number to get any info. There is some rust & pitting on the barrel surface but nothing that can't be dealt with. Does someone make wood stock prefits for this model? Any ideas on how to proceed in getting this little shotgun functional enough for a safe test firing before proceeding with a make-over?

Any info someone has about this shotgun would be most appreciated. TIA

Hard times create strong men, strong men create good times, good times create weak men, and weak men create hard times.

    .

The stocks are an early 1900's plastic called "Tenite". which were factory installs ILO wood on some of their firearms after WWII, due to wood shortages.

They are somewhat fragile, but can usually be replaced with wood stocks made for the same model (Model 5100 )

The Model 5100 was made from 1941-48

Many claim the M-5100 action is identical to the Model 311, but the action end of the 311's buttstock is straight, and you can see that the action/stock junction on your M-5100 is not straight.

Google: "Stevens 5100 stock" to find replacement stocks.

While 12ga & 20ga actions were the same, IDK if there was a size/fitment difference for 410 actions.

Now I lay me down to sleep
A gun beside me is what I keep
If I awake, and you're inside
The coroner's van is your next ride
