    Kudos to you!

Nice job! Now you have to keep your standards to that or better.

    Congratulations, that is great shooting.

I know the satisfaction that comes with a good group. I set out to record a 10 shot group under an inch but it took months with my scoped A3 Springfield with a new 4/44 Remington barrel, 4 groove with 1:10" twist. I have a Leupold 12X scope mounted.

I prepared 50 cases by uniforming the primer pockets, neck turning the brass, trimming to length. Boolits (Lyman 311284) weighed into batches, sized to 0.310" etc. etc.

It took weeks and months of range time to burn over 600 rounds and then on the day I shot not one but two 10 shot groups under an inch.

I have recently mounted a Kahles scope to my 7x57 Mauser which is showing promise also.

By far a greater satisfaction is getting good groups with the 50/70 Sharps. Punching "BIG" 50cal holes in paper is exciting!

@BAD ASS WALLACE ... That 50/70 Sharps makes those other groups look like 'skeeter bites'!

Thats awesome work! I've never been able to get there with cast in rifles, but I have gotten to under an inch in pistols out to 25yds. But my eyes ain't what they used to be, so I doubt I'll get there again.

Nice to see, and even nicer to see it done in a 7X57, one of my favorites. Like a lot of posters, I’ve gotten close, but still chasing. What’s inspiring to me is the reminder for how diligent we have to be with cast - the variables we can control and the ones we can’t. Just two weeks ago, I felt I was closing in on an accurate load in the 358 only to find “this” round of tests still threw flyers, just tighter ones. Yet there I was that night, back at the bench, studying notes and later, back here, reading from the guys that have done it over and over again. Since then, the weather hasn’t worked with me, but it will sooner or later…

Great Job and thank you for sharing!

    Cree
