    WTB 4140 bar stock

I have a revolver that I am going to try to make a replacement cylinder for. This is an old military piece that someone has damaged the cylinder beyond salvaging. I am looking for a piece of 4140 annealed bar stock a bit over 1 3/4 in diameter and 4 to 6 inches long. Does anyone know of where I might purchase the bar stock? Many thanks in advance. The toolman.

You could try Bowen, or one of the Linebaughs, or any other custom revolver maker.
    Let's go Brandon!

Ill see what I have out on the rack.might be a piece out in the shop. I to use online metals for a lot of materials. Also metals by the inch. McMaster Carr also sells materials. steel prices are up right now.

Im not sure if what I have is 4140 pre hard (about 40 rc) or 4140 annealed. If I have a cut of 4140 annealed it yours.

When I first saw this request, I checked speedymetals but 4140 did not show up. Where did you guys find it on that site?
