    Lee Seater Die

the seater die that came with my 2 die set says it won't crimp

is there any way to remove the bell from a case without a 3rd die?

(I may need to hunt down a crimp die)

What seater die do you need to crimp. Someone might have crimp seating die that they could trade or give you.

    Sorry, 30-30 Winchester

I should have a regular set somewhere, but can't find it at the moment

I do have my "WackAMole" so may see if that one will work.

I am also trying to use fatter bullets as my 340Savage seems to have a bit of a generous neck. I can drop a .312 bullet into the case, and it will go back into the gun.
Won't fit my Handi barrel though, so this handi barrel may be good for .308 bullets/boolits. but if I can't crimp, I may have a problem with boolits. and my M die would only make them worse. (I'm hoping my wackamole does a good enough job)

My Lee 30/30 die sets have a third die. It’s a collet type crimp die, sometimes called a factory crimp die. I have a spare if you’re interested. Send me a PM if you’re interested.

    Thanks

it would be cheaper for me to buy one up here, but thanks for the offer

I was just thinking, I have a 308Win FCD. that should work for the .308 bullets for sure, same length, longer in the shoulder so no interference...

    gonna play with that tonight

That's great. Some times it just takes a little thought and patience to work things out. When I run into a problem I have learned to lay the project aside for a day or so and go back to it. Usually the solution comes right to me when I do that. Good work on your part. james
