Making your own ballistic gel to test hollow points

I have a whole series of videos going up on youtube on the things us casters do. I uploaded one last night on making your own ballistic gel. Figured I would post the link here for any who might be interested in it.

actually that's hilarious. I would have to wait to do it every 8 years or so where I live. We haven't seen snow in maybe 6 years at this point.

    Interesting. I subbed your channel.

Hollow point cast became an obsession for me & before I got a block of gel, I used water...either in jugs or in a long pipe.

I didn't see any significant difference between the different methods. The fun of it all is blending the Pb & Sn to expand at your chosen velocity and not frag or loose weight yet get good penetration.

I'll enjoy more of your videos.

I shoot holes in pieces of paper and an occasional tin can or clay bird.
So, for me I don't really see the point, but then I am not hunting big game.
But on the other hand, why the hell not?

Kosh...that's my water tube for testing HP's...long and deep so they won't hit bottom and disfigure themselves.
I made it out of scrap materials I got off my brother so I could keep this experiment cheap should it not work out.
Here's the last video I made on the 'Test Tube' development...
