RCBS 5-0-2 Scale parts replacement source?

I contacted RCBS on this a couple times, but haven't heard from them. 5-0-2 scale knocked over and the levelling foot cracked. I can superglue it but with weighing out powder I'd prefer to replace the part. The only hit I am getting is a place in NZ, though admittedly I haven't gone too deeply - thought RCBS would have an answer.

Anyone know where to source spare parts in the U.S.?

Have you tried calling Huntington Die Specialties? They carry RCBS parts.

Surprised to hear that you got no help from RCBS. They are usually fantastic.

I have a 502 also. If I an thinking correctly, the foot is a small bolt with a big flat plastic head. Some hardware stores have similar screw/bolt knobs in their specialty section. Might be worth a look…..

Left of field, I bought a RCBS 502 unseen, turns out to be metric, in grams.Just wondering if the beam notches are the same as a grains model and a grains scale can be sourced and replace the gram one? Too old and challenged to do the conversion to be able to make use of lt.I am programmed only in grains. Cheers Mal in au.

Post #4 in this thread has a phone number for repair services: https://castboolits.gunloads.com/sho...aus-beam-scale

Absolutely no connection with them, but maybe they can help you with your scale.

    Hey all -

Wanted to thank you. RCBS got ahold of me yesterday and apologized for the missed contact. They're sending a replacement out free of charge.

I've only the best to say about RCBS and its customer service.

    Thanks again.

Unfortunately the notches on your metric 502 won't match up with grains, however, I do have two suggestions. 1) The knife edge and agate bearings, the pan and pan hanger, pan stirrup, the body and the adjusting foot are all the same so breaking for spares would probably get your money back. 2) Get a Sharpie type permanent marker and blot out all the numbers and just use a set of grain checkweights or a cheap digital scale to set your required weight. Every weight will be the same, it really doesn't matter what the bean is marked in.

These work very well without any numbers.

That could well be, although many reloaders on mainland Europe use regular RCBS scales marked in Grams.
