    Hollow base 9mm?

Any interest in a hollow base 9mm?
Kind of like the 359-125 but a little shorter and hollow base. Maybe 100-105 grains?

It would be nice for a light plinking bullet and for something fast and low recoil for steel challenge.

The 9mm Luger starting load pressure would be 2 times a 38 special load, using a hollow base. See Hodgdon data. Compare.

So, hollow base 9mm, bad idea? The pressure would be to high? My guess.

    May work with linotype ?

It’s common for 9mm. Keeping the long nose but moving the bullet weight down to 100 grain or so.

The hollow base isn’t the same as a swaged soft wad cutter. Picture more of a cup point but on the base. Just enough to offset 10 or so grains of weight.
It’s not designed to expand the way 38 special hollow bases do. Thicker walls will prevent that.
