    That is nice to know.
I guess I was not too clear in what I did and why I did it.
I will be most happy to give the Hi-Tek coating a try.
I am kind of a tinkerdink and enjoy messing with things.
I was already an Eastwood customer as I buy some of my welding supplies from them, not to mention the TIG welder I got from my wife for Christmas a few years back.
So that is why I went with the Eastwood powder.
If I just google Hi-Tek will I find where to order it?

This is where I ordered from. Not sure if it’s the only or least expensive place but was delivered within a week.

Depending on your location, in USA products are available from Hi-Performance Bullet coatings. They have an online store.

With tinkering, I am a long standing tinkerer, and always busy with something either useful or useless afterwards.

I purchased a ride on mower for the wife, a late Christmas present, as I was concerned about the cutting of grass in our hot weather with a push mower.

It is hoped. that the TIG welder was appreciated.

I find it very strange, that in US, powder coat is sold in small quantities to any customer and no apparent regulations being in place. In Aus., there is a very tightly controlled situation by work cover, who monitors use of Powder Coating use, as it is used in commercial applications, the people and area where it is used, is tightly controlled for health and safety.
Operators spraying parts via Electrostatic applicators have to be wearing protective gear, a totally enclosed outfit with fresh air supply from outside work area . The whole coating area is sealed and exhausted through air filtration with external dust collection filter bags. In industrial use, there is a huge volume of powder coat that is applied, and workers have to be adequately protected.
