10 inches of snow tomorrow in Arkansas ??

Our newscaster here in Ohio just said that Tuesday into Wednesday you folks in Arkansas could get 10 inches of snow !! That much snow in Arkansas ?? how strange. You folks are supposed to be warm right now. Here in S.E. Ohio where we are normally cold, Wednesday we may get an inch, then turning to rain. So much for global warming this week ...

All that global warming causes strange things to happen. Grocery store was busy as we gathered up the necessary stuff to survive inside for a couple of days.

Well we got about 10” last night and today and expecting another shot Wednesday into Thursday. Can’t complain though as we had very little snow since December.

Nope, max a bit over 5 inches in the Boston Mountains, most areas look to get from 1 to 3 inches. Here in NW corner, we got 10 plus and then 8 more a day later then 6 about a week later. (First was pretty much gone by the third snow) back in 2012. Usually get 2 to 10 inches, once or twice a year. Has about 2 inches so far in December. Which was unusual. Mostly in Jan or Feb. Oh, had over 2 inches with a bit of ice here in 2019 on May 1st

There is yet another one coming for you.
This morning south of Tucson 9AM my poor little old dog and I were caught in a blowing snow flurry.
Blue sky with squall lines then bam, snow.
Visby dropped to 100 yards, I tucked the little critter into my hoodie, Chico pulled his head in.
He usually wants to see where we're going, peeking, but not today.
At the bottom of the hill, wind stopped, streaky blue sky, cold, like 40F.
We have had rainy days in the desert, this winter.

Bald tires, bad teeth and 10" of snow? No thanks!

Advisory for my area of NE Arkansas says 3-6". But it is supposed to get back to middle 40's tomorrow also? I lived in Fayetteville while I was in law school. Y'all always got the lion's share of snow. There were times I thought I was in NW Kansas instead of Arkansas when I lived there.

+11.3 degrees here at the moment (8 a.m.). Had to restock my back porch with firewood, which involved digging out the firewood pile. Like the postcards say, "Having a wonderful time...wish you were here!"

Our good news is only two inches more forecast for today, through mid evening; in the wee hours of Wednesday snow will again start, dropping eight to twelve more inches. Weather map shows us right on "cusp" blue line, so wife's betting on the eight inches. Doesn't matter much to me -- I filled the Kubota tractor with Diesel; have it plugged in (I have a remote-control wireless switch to turn on block heater hopefully a couple hours before I start it); and, I have my iPod Shuffle charged so I can listen to some great tunes as I move the white stuff. Only challenge is I may be running out of places to move it...Click image for larger version.

    I feel your pain...
We had a major winter storm event here in Southcentral Pennsylvania yesterday.
The local weather guessers were nearly apoplectic with their breathless pronouncements of road hazards that might occur.
We got about 1" of wet snow that melted away in a couple of hours.
Armageddon was averted...humanity was saved and the bread, milk and toilet paper catastrophe was cancelled.
Close call...Gov. Shapiro came out of his safe space and declared that he had worked hand in hand with Pres. Biden to save the state and that the compromised Dominion voting machines were already programmed to guarantee another Democrat party victory in the next election.

We'll see in the morning - the first 3" came fast just on dark. My son is out plowing the highway right now (in the old plow truck I used to drive).

I was out in it this evening, and there sure are a lot of people out in it that would make everyone safer if they just stayed at home.

I'll be out in it tomorrow doing my job. Someone has to do it.

We’re getting much needed moisture so a little of the strange white stuff is welcome. My wife drove in snow for the first time tonight. With my coaching(5 or 6 times driving in snow experience), she did great!

Temp staying right at freezing. Wet heavy crap. 3 plus inches at 9pm and it still falling hard. It waited till about 330 this afternoon to start, and temp was 36, so most melted as it hit. But temp fell and it started staying around. Trees gonna be pretty in morning, my oaks out back are holding an inch or so on the limbs. I figure 6 to 8 by daylight. Ain't nearly a mountain, don't envy anyone dealing with it for months...
