    In Memory pf Bob Hodgden

To my knowledge, not a member of this forum, but a great in the shooting world, Bob Hodgden passed away Jan 14.

I was at the Shot Show when we were notified that Bruce, Bob's Dad and founder of the powder company had died in a plane crash on his way to that show It sure cast a shadow over the show. The Hodgdon family means a lot to every reloader, whether they actually know it or not.

Shooters serving Shooters! I was alarmed when Hodgdons acquired so many powder companies. I feared they would “stick it to us with high prices. Granted we have experienced price shock but I believe it’s beyond Hodgdons control.

I called the company just once to complain that they needed to promote HS6 more for upper mid range large bore revolver loads. My reasoning was that without such a push, they might decide to drop that powder.

Whomever answered the phone told me not to worry, because they sell a LOT of that powder already, and there was no reason to drop it.

Great people, great powder, great service!

    RIP Bob
