    Hodgdon's shot shell data

I know this #21 Hodgdon's reloading manual is outdated, but one thing I noticed is none of the loads show what primer they used. All they say at the beginning is to always use primer with covered flash hole. Just thought it was unusual, compared to modern manuals.Well I missed a page at the beginning of manual. Hodgdon made shot shell primer #9, probably used in the data they show.

That goes against current train of thought; What's the date on that manual? We know today that primer substitution can raise pressure as much as 3-4000 psi.

Nowadays we have both standard and magnum shotshell primers, so now a fellow can get into trouble if he doesn't pay attention to his primers.
