Henry big boy steel 45 colt bore diameter?

Has anyone measured? Henry tells me that is proprietary information and they will not provide. Thank you.

Clean the bore really well, then slug the bore. Bore diameters differ per firearm.

    If a 41 won't stop it, I wouldn't bet my life on a 44.

Why would Henry consider that proprietary information? That doesn’t make sense to me. But then, a lot of things don’t make sense in today’s world.

Bore diameter = land to land measurement.

Groove diameter = measured across the grooves, i.e measuring a slug.
Got a .22 .30 .32 .357 .38 .40 .41 .44 .45 .480 or .500 S&W cylinder that needs throats honed? 9mm, 10mm/40S&W, 45 ACP pistol barrel that won't "plunk" your handloads? 480 Ruger or 475 Linebaugh cylinder that needs the "step" reamed to 6° 30min chamfer? You're quite welcome! Having worked a few years as a machinist, it's difficult to drop activities you used so often that just became part of you. When I use my planer, I also mike my boards.

I never bothered to measure mine bought last September but, out of the box, it loved the same boolits as my Blackhawk which are sized to .452. it was what I hoped for.

It's probably not, more like a blanket response to technical questions that the customer service rep can't or won't answer. It's either 'proprietary' or, "All of our barrels are made to SAAMI specs. Is there anything else we can help you with?"
Warning: I know Judo. If you force me to prove it I'll shoot you.
