hard to believe that the libs in Madison actually know a thing or two
Kentucky keeps changing its mind about them. Sometimes, rifles have to be at least .40 caliber and pistols at least .44 caliber. Other times, no minimum caliber for rifles but .44 for pistols. Last time I checked there was no minimum caliber for any firearm as long as it was centerfire or sidelock and fired a single projectile. They have always been really strict about no rimfires and no shot loads for deer and larger game tho.
    Currently casting and loading: .32 Auto, .380 Auto, .38 Special, 9X19, .357 Magnum, .257 Roberts, 6.5 Creedmoor, .30 WCF, .308 WCF, .45-70.

Seems the newest are the Knight Peregrine and the CVA Paramount Pro
but on the pricey side but ya get state of the art equipment.
Just so happens I have a Knight Peregrine coming my way tried to get the Paramount Pro but was told only 140 were being delivered this coming week and there were no plans to increase their #'s in the coming year .
    Opinions?
And the Paramount has (barrel issues)/Ed

For years had thought that a rifle chambered for .45ACP might be just about the best muzzleloader a guy could have.

How are you guys sizing your 40’s, and 45’s, 50’s, etc. that you’re having difficulty starting the bullets, engraving rifling, etc.? I typically size a thousandth or so over bore size for hunting bullets, bore size minus for target loads. The weight of the loading rod will seat the bullet and accuracy is stellar with grease grooved or paper patched bullets.

My 40’s are relined to that caliber by Bobby Hoyt, in a variety of side lock rifles shooting Swiss powder.

You need a smaller paper plate.
You are wasting a lot of paper.

Or start putting more of those round red doo-dots on the plate. Looks like that barrel likes the load.

Nice! That's an accurate rifle. Do you wipe between shots? I've never had Blackhorn 209 and don't know what the fouling is like.

    no wiping between shots
I have fired as many as 12-15 rounds

Just ran it across the chronograph average of 3 shots was 2612 f.p.s
with a 250 gr bullet, no sabot, bullet to bore application
that is 300 win mag territory should satisfy some game dept's.

Should be sufficient as long as you stick to the smaller deer.
