I bought this gun in 2009 and Savage listed it in the manual as one of their recommended powders, sadly it is no longer made.

I use lots of RL -7 for my cast Boolits loads in lots of calibers.
Same here, I use a lot of R7.

I love my 10ML. Took a mess of deer and 2 bull moose with it. So far I have only used SR 4759, but I understand they might no longer make it anymore so I might have to find a RL7 load.

4198 is my go-to powder for my 10ML with 300 grains bullets.

Really been thinking about just going this route with a .458" barrel. Buddy has a .458 smokeless takeoff barrel set up for a remington that might work if there's enough profile diameter left to cut the Remington threads off and redo the receiver and plug threads for the savage. If not I'll get a SS 458 blank. I've got about a dozen barrel projects lined up for the lathes, what's one more.

Thanks, I'll have to dig out my original paper work.
