    Lee case trimmer thread size

I recently broke off my Lee case trimmer arbor.

The bit that goes into the neck of the case and butts up to the cutters.

Not within a bulls roar of a gun shop and not likely get the size Or length I need for the length of case I wanted.
I machined a new one out of some sort of bolt out of a Briggs and Stratton motor by the look of it.

By measuring it’s broken teeth of the bit I could dig out of it. I thought it was 3/16 60*x24 being American and all
Anyway the thread is actually 3/16 bsw 55* x 24 tpi
Hope it helps if you ever need to know.
    Hooroo
    Ohh yeah

Sharpened up the cutter by using a diamond hone by filing only from the cutting edge side; down the rake of the tool.
Or the taper that forms the cutting edge

As if no one wouldn’t know or couldn’t figure out such simple things
    Ha
Everyone here seems way beyond my skill levels
    Cheers

You’re too hard on the equipment sir. I used a turned down lug bolt on a AR.45 pcc build years ago. The head was the perfect diameter.

I think it was always a bit loose with that split thread on it and slowly fatigued after years of rocking the case on the arbor to get that extra couple of thou off the case.
Of course I could have shorted the rod years ago when the I started using different a head stamp brass.
    Just saying.
