Also, another Thank You!. Just got serious about a year ago on 410 loading w/Mec600jr. due to lack of store bought ammo. Great to see simple techniques for unusual loading. I like experimenting and this looks like a fun project.

    great video thankyou....
you might like to try a few 00 buckshot loads in your wee gun...they will be just as easy to poke together and from the few Ive used, pattern very well too.
if a fella didnt have roll crimper...you could just add one of the fibre wads on top of slug and a few drops of glue to hold it in place.

    Thanks Guys. Most appreciated!!

I have Milky. I found them bad inaccurate. I switched to a .390 & .395 round ball & was rewarded with Palm sized groups 45/50 yards!! Plus impressive velocities! VERY HAPPY with 2 .390 balls inside 4/5" @ that range!!!

I have a video or two on those as well.

If I was doing it, I would get a .385 lead slug and drill the slug and the wad and put a machine through it with brass washers smaller than the choke to make a shuttle cock like slug. I would want at least a 200 grain soft lead slug and try to load it to at least 900 fps or as fast as it is safe to load it too. In strong break open traditional single shot .410 built on a 20 ga frame I think one could drive it up to 1400 fps easily.

I previous tried the LEE 175g 40 glued to a stump wad. (Upside down.

It was VERY ACCURATE!! But occasionally they would come apart and accuracy went in toilet. I mean to 10' groups from 10"!!!!! That was @ 100yards with a bead front site only!!!

    Looking for other ideas here.

Use a machine bolt with washers and the glue and more likely to stay together. In one 410 iraqveteran8888 were able to fire 454 casul through an 0.385 choke without problems. But the slug key holes and so it was only good for close range.
