Looking for load data for 32 S&W Long and 98gr DEWC

I have a S&W 31-1 inbound and am looking for two loads with a 98gr DEWC - a mild load say 700-750fps and a more robust load that offers about 900fps (if such is safely possible).

The loads I have found are for HBWC which I expect are not appropriate for a solid WC.

    Thank you.

You will find that the same loads are recommended for HB or DE.. by weight!
I have had best luck with Red Dot in My .32S&W Long, all Boolits!!!
as an aside...tho Trail Boss works very well in 38spl.. not so well in My .32's...

    Greetings,

With the bullet seated flush to the end of the case...

    1.6 grains of Winchester WST

    1.7 grains of Alliant Bullseye

    1.4 grains of VV N310

With either a light roll or taper crimp.

The above loads chronograph about 700-730 FPS.

Measure the throats of your cylinder. At a guess, I suspect they will measure 0.313"-0.315".

Order / cast and size bullets to match the cylinder throat diameter; or, +0.001".

    Cheers,

    Dave

On p. 240 in the .32H&R Mag data, RCBS 31-098WC at 1.16" OAL shows 1.8 grains Bullseye for 813 fps at 11,300 cup. Any of the loads testing under 13kpsi will be fine as long as you maintain the same ctg. OAL. In the S&W 31 you can cautiously approach the heavier loads with solid based bullets at same OAL which don't exceed about 18,000 psi. DO NOT FLUSH SEAT!

I embrace the thought of using 32H&R data If... Big Word, If the OAL is observrd for same same Boolit.. Gonna try that...be easier If the books like Lymans, would publish at least One "in between" pressure reading... but... gotta do Some Leg Work, after all!!
I can state that 2.3 gr of Red Dot, under a 98 gr SWC, clocks at 830fps, out of my little H&R 4". Shoots so good, I have Not been tempted to fool with it!!
Edit; Not so sure I would start a DEWC boolit at the Same weight as a SWC tho... as the Bearing surface is different..
I have some, so Maybe I try it...
