    H 110. or not?

bought a estate out. had 2 bottles marked H110. one was opened the other had a seal, as in unopened.

now my question. is H110 a ball powder or a flake powder?
I had stored the cans on my powder shelf for some time, and went to use the powder today. I don't remember which can (bottle) had the seal, and upon examining each found one was a flake powder and the other a ball powder. I really dont want to use the wrong powder if someone dumped a strange powder in a empty H 110 container.

If it was me, I'd write it off. There's no good way to use mystery powder, when your betting with your fingers and eyeballs. They are non-refundable.

H-110 is a ball powder..IIRC originally milsurp (pull-down?) for .30 Carbine. Somewhere around here, I've got the original 'Handloader's Digest' article from the early 1970s promoting H-110 as the 'end-all/fix-all' powder for the .357 Mag...which it wasn't.

Yep, I agree with the others. Use the one that was sealed, but ditch the suspect opened one.

As I suspected. the ball powder is the real h-110, the other is fertlizer. I am just glad that I noticed the difference before loading boxes of 450's. and that you all confirmed my suspicions. There would be nothing like a case full of (who now what, ( mabe bulls eye) to ge a bank out of new years target shooting.
    Thanks again

If it was ANYTHING but H110...
Most propellants can be reduced by 10% and worked up. But with a 3% work-up margin...
