PC issue... paint reacting with BE

I pulled some random bullets today and discovered that Bullseye stuck to and softened the PC on the cast bullets. As a result, I was able to scrape off the softened PC with my thumb nail. The white PC bullet was fine. Click image for larger version.

How long have they been loaded? And what powders were they?

I think I loaded these a year ago. Bullseye was used in all these loads.

I had powder stick to PC'ed Boolits if the PC was not baked long enough.

there are a few youtube video out there where folks have conducted experiments with PC'd boolits in different powders. If I recall Bullseye was one of the smokeless powders known to soften PC.

Not the one I was thinking of but this guy has a 5 part series testing for reactions: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gcb8ORhvq1c and; https://castboolits.gunloads.com/sho...-test-results)

    Here's a link to a 58 days study by a castboolits member: https://castboolits.gunloads.com/sho...Coated-Bullets

Personal experience with 45acp cast, PC with Harbor Freight red, loaded with Win 231 in 2018, stored nose down in my basement in New Mexico (a perfect cool, dry place). Pulled some bullets and they so no sign of PC softening or degrading in any way.
