    Cva 35 whelen

Want to try cast in a 35 whelen and shoot out to 200yards with cast . What do you think about the scout and a good mold and boolit weight ?

I have the scout 2 in BO, very good single shot. Good trigger and barrel. Cast works fine.
    Whatever!

bullet weight depends a bit on the barrel's twist rate.
But you can't go far wrong with 200 or 225 grain slugs

Is this going to be for hunting or paper punching, that makes a bit of difference. My 35 Whelen isn't a CVA and has a twist of 1-16 in but does real good on paper with the NOE 280 gr. spire point ,and for hunting the NOE 310 FN does good haven't had a critter go more than 20yds .
