    Anyone done S&W 500 shots he'll loads

I got a tub of brass from a friend and found a bag full of shot cases marked 44mag, measured them and they are .501
So I'm thinking of making some shot shells for the 500.
Weighed on case topped off with #8 shot and it weighs 140gn. Thinking a light charge of unique will get it done. Will check it on quick load.
Just wanted to see if anyone has done this yet and has some tips.

    Oops!
For a moment I thought you were thinking of using an empty clean cartridge case for a shot glass. In that case I’d lean towards a 50AE or better yet a 12 or 10 gauge brass case.
    Sorry.

a simple method, choice of powder, (unique works well in my 44 mag loads). heavy cardboard wad (or 2) over powder. pre-weighed shot load on top of paper wad, then another paper wad on top of the shot. little glue on top of paper wads to hold it in place.

I was planning on this but I am going to use the 500JRH instead. My buddy has a Performance center >500 but he's the sort that wont shoot anything but factory fodder. I have loaded .45 LC so the charge of Unique should be pretty close to the same.
