There is no better deal on a manual than this one. It was made to sell for $35 and did so. If you shoot any of Ramshot, Western or Accurate powders it is a steal.
I like Lyman 50 and use it almost as much as 45 and 48.

I have found that one manual is usually not enough if you load anything other than just the most common of rounds. The Hornady and Lyman manuals are good and are generally enough. If they're missing something, I can usually supplement them with data that is available online for free. It's also nice to be able to compare similar loads from multiple different sources. Sometimes they're close, sometimes they can be surprisingly different. The Lyman cast manual is nice to have too.

Some of the manufactures like Hornady, Nosler, and Sierra will post some limited data on their websites too. Sometimes it takes some digging to find.

A little late on the response, but Santa brought me Lyman’s 51st and their 4th Edition Cast manual, so I’m calling it a win. So far, the “new” powders I’ve picked up, like TAC, are all in there, and with a forum like this, some of the harder to sort out surplus or Vectan gives me a higher level of comfort. I’ll admit, the Fourth Edition has the newer cartridges, which is nice for some folks, but aside from some stray “new” data in the cartridges I currently load for, it’s pretty much the same. Not complaining, merely making an observation for those who might read this in the future.

I really appreciate all the hints and suggestions, and my wife REALLY did.

    Can't find a better place to Vent...So
Finally broke down and got a Lyman #4 cast manual... Should have looked at someones first...
I find everything I need/require between Number 3 and the 2nd edition Pistol and Revolver Manuals... throw in the 47th edition Manual, and all bases are covered.
Specifically... No 45 Win Mag data at all!! Lame 45ACP... 38 Spl maybe more Lamer (is that a Word)
the one Plus... sort of, the 44Mag data includes about two things "new" that I already Gleaned in these pages...
Son #1 got a 45 Colt Contender... researching loads.. Since he been shooting my 45 win Mag... we need to get close to at least what the 45ACP will do in this gun... Alas... the loads that work Best, are not, and truthfully never have been listed in the Manual.. Maybe excluding 4227 powder in Win Mag... but never has been a Mention of AA#7 in ACP... which Never misses in my 45 Win Mag!!!
No Rifle Data for the .44 Lee 310???No Data at all for handguns under 30 cal?? No 7TCU?, No 30 Herrett?, No 32 S&W ??? I cannot look further... Prolly Lawyers dropped Ruger/TC data!!
How hard is it to reprint a few pages???
The #1 Son is disappointed No 300 Blackout!!! IDC...But...I guess I thought it was popular??
OK...Tired of Ranting... If you do Not agree...Cool...if you do...Cool too... no Biggie...just Ranting..
    We Won't be Fooled Again!!!!

Edit; Off to throw Good Money after bad...box of Beer on the agenda...
