Turn down the sweat band, steam it a bit and then wear it?

    Suggestion, not proven method....

Dusty nailed it. Another choice is to take it to a “Western” shop and they’ll more than likely have a stretcher in the shop. It’s a routine thing

I have a couple of wooden hat stretchers that are a block of wood cut in half with a turn buckle in the middle just put it in the hat and adjust it going a small bit at a time , they used to be sold at just all western outfitters stores , or check on e-bay.

I believe the purpose of the hat band was to prevent the felt from stretching out of shape when the hat got wet. Just make the band a little larger and wear the hat. The hat will expand to the size of the hat band.
