Watching a bunch of supposed adults, none of which I know, play a silly game on TV is not going to happen for me. Which team wins a football game or any other game on tv makes absolutely no difference in my life. Hunting puts me in a better mood whether I harvest an animal or not. If I should harvest an animal,it adds to my food supply.

This is my first year not hunting since I was 12 years old.
At my age(68), physical issues have made it very difficult to hunt. I just can't cover the ground or go where I want to any longer.

So...I will unfortunately, be watching football.
Very difficult transition for me but I just don't have the strength or stamina to hunt any longer.

I'm in the same boat, however, I enjoy college football.

That is a question I never even thought of asking. I missed a family wedding to deer hunt.

My wife has started watching it with the grandchildren . I never cared for it. Rather be hunting. Wish i made what the ball players made moneywise. Think they are overpaid.

For you guys giving up hunting ..who do you think electric trail bikes were invented for (wrong if you think eco idiots) never quit..
If you got to drive your white pick-up down a logging road and hunt from it do it ..
For you guys who don't watch football ..having played thru college ..football made Ranger training nothing ..Ranger training made surviving a pretty good bet
Just depends where when and how you live life but it do build sand in a man..

No powered vehicles permitted on the state game lands or state forest property where I like to hunt.
Hunting from a vehicle is illegal in my state.
I liked to hunt away from the crowds. I would always hike deep into the mountains well past where most hunters went.

Same here. I watched two bucks walk within fifty yards of my meat pole yesterday. Picked up the rifle both times, and watched them walk away.
The solid soft lead bullet is undoubtably the best and most satisfactory expanding bullet that has ever been designed. It invariably mushrooms perfectly, and never breaks up. With the metal base that is essential for velocities of 2000 f.s. and upwards to protect the naked base, these metal-based soft lead bullets are splendid.
John Taylor - "African Rifles and Cartridges"

Forget everything you know about loading jacketed bullets. This is a whole new ball game!

Outside is way better than watching football on T.V.

To me the so call football players are just over paid bums, they care less about me or anyone else . But they depend on the ones that show up and watch them on TV to earn a living otherwise they would need to get a real job and how many of them should be in jail for some of the things some done. They do not pay my bills and put food on the table , I am with what others say rather be deer hunting then watch the game or shoot at targets or run a trap line when I can .
